The project "Software-defined Orbiting Flexible Transceiver" (SOFT) is a national project funded by Innovation Fund Denmark, aiming to develop a flexible radio platform for small satellites.
Through the use of software defined radio technology the aim is to provide manufactures of small satellites with a platform that may readily be adapted to specific customer needs.
A range of researchers from Aalborg University is involved in the project. These are Gert Frølund Pedersen, Ole Kiel Jensen, Jan H. Mikkelsen, Ming Shen and Alexandru Tatomirescu. In addition, the Danish companies GomSpace and Reseiwe is contributing to the project.
